Made the size parameters (median filter radius, morphology SE size) editable....

Made the size parameters (median filter radius, morphology SE size) editable. Fixed a bug occuring when using the substring-based image seletion and choosing an unselected image as the first one. Added asserts to image slections in an attepmt to trace a bug (possibly some race condition with opening profile plot windows).
