Adding languages in projects is unintuitive and doesn't make sense
Go to https://kafe.fi.muni.cz/auth/lemmafimuni/ and create a new project for Filmový festival FI MU #25 (closed). Under "Name of the movie", you can:
- Click on the "world" icon, which does nothing
- Click on the "+" icon, which lets you select out of hundreds of languages you probably never heard of
- Write the name of the film in whatever language you use
Most users will just write the movie name in the "international" variant without bothering too much about it.
However, it is required for Festival movies to have the information in both the original name, and English/Czech/Slovak alternative.
So:
If the film title is in Slovak/Czech, it needs an English title too.
If the film title is in any other language, it needs a Czech title too.
Instead of guiding users to add in the necessary two titles, we are expecting them to add the required languages themselves and dig through loads of African tribal languages to find the necessary ones. It is good to allow the users to add some additional localization, but we are not using it anywhere anyway, and let's be real, it's just impractical for the users, nobody will submit a film in Old Church Slavonic.
